The David Lindsay-Abaire play examines a family after the death of a young child. Its relationships create room to observe conversation, silence and conflicting attempts at ordinary life.

A family without one timetable for grief
Velasco plays Becca, with Yu and Tam portraying Nat and Izzy. Different generations and roles give a caring remark different weight depending on who hears it.
Notice who changes the subject, leaves a room or tries to restore a routine. The drama offers more than a contest over who appears strongest.

Portraits are a different introduction from performance
The published photographs are editorial portraits of the actresses, not production stills or confirmed stage costumes. Clothing and spacing introduce personalities without revealing the set.
On stage, movement, voice and responses to other actors will create the roles. Familiarity with an actor’s other work can be set aside to watch the rhythm of this production.

Leave space around a theatre visit
The death-of-a-child theme may feel different to each companion. Discuss the subject beforehand and allow time afterward for conversation or quiet.
The month and venue are established, but booking requires the actual ticketing information. Confirm language, surtitles and entry rules rather than treating a synopsis as a full booking guide.
