What to know | Levi’s x LOOPWHEELER x BEAMS puts Super Wide shapes in sweatshirt fabric

BEAMS invited Levi’s and LOOPWHEELER to commemorate its 50th anniversary and launched a three-party collaboration with the Super Wide silhouette as the core. The series was first sold in BEAMS Harajuku, Shinjuku BEAMS JAPAN and BEAMS JAPAN Kyoto on October 17, 2026. It will be available in Levi’s online store and some stores around the world from October 22, and BEAMS America will follow up from October 23 local time.

looks like classic work clothes, but the materials have been changed.

The jacket is based on the classic structure of Levi’s Type I Trucker, enlarged to Super Wide proportions; the trousers retain identification such as the curved stitching of the back pocket. What has really changed is the fabric: the two pieces of clothing use LOOPWHEELER's loopwheel-knit sweatshirt fabric, instead of just adding the cooperation logo on the surface of ordinary denim.

The loopwheel-knit fabric comes from a rare and still operating loopwheel knitting machine in Wakayama. The brand simultaneously released a short documentary showing the manufacturing process from yarn to fabric. From a design perspective, this material replacement allows the familiar structure of jackets and trousers to have different drape and surface textures; the actual feel and wearing weight should still be confirmed with the product and try-on.

Three categories of goods, two clothing colors

Super Wide Type I Jacket is priced at 58,300 yen including tax in Japan, and Super Wide Pants is 49,500 yen. Both are available in Heather Gray and Navy. Accessories also include the Vintage pattern Bandana, priced at 4,400 yen, available in red and navy. If the styles and colors are calculated together, the official also describes the entire combination in six styles.

The jacket cuffs and pockets, together with the trouser rear labels incorporate the three-party cooperation identification, while the curved stitching of the trousers retains the Levi’s design language. Gray is easier to associate with sweatshirt fabric; dark blue can be compared with the existing denim wardrobe. This is a visual selection direction and does not mean that the fabric specifications of the two colors are different.

How to distinguish between Japanese early sales and lottery gifts?

The three pilot stores in Japan have a limit of one item of the same style and color per person, with a maximum of six items. Those who purchase a jacket and trousers at the same time at designated stores can participate in the special T-shirt lottery according to the event conditions; T-shirts are not a fixed gift that all buyers can directly receive, nor are they automatically included with just one purchase.

The Harajuku pre-release event on the evening of October 16th has ended, and this series of products was not originally on sale that night. People who are planning to go to the store should check the current inventory and sales announcements, and avoid mixing the previous talk event, the first launch on October 17, and the expanded launch on October 22 into the same buying period.

Wide outline, how to read the size?

Super Wide itself enlarges the body width and trousers shape. When choosing, you can first measure the fitting jacket and trousers on your hand, and then compare the length, shoulder width and waist circumference of the product. Rather than just deciding based on the usual S or M, the actual size can better illustrate where this wide silhouette will fall on the body.

This anniversary collaboration features each party providing recognizable elements: workwear construction, draped materials and amplified silhouettes.
