EMODA has presented its spring/summer 2027 collection, revisiting early-2000s dressing through low waists, capri trousers, dresses layered over pants and platform accessories. Rather than reproducing an entire period wardrobe, the collection uses comparatively restrained colour and decoration to give familiar silhouettes a different setting.
The waistline is the key shift. In place of the brand’s familiar cropped-top and high-waist combinations, denim, shorts, skirts and dress seams draw attention lower down. These are collection-preview details for spring 2027; photographs do not establish that every piece is available now in Taiwan.
Key details
The collection is EMODA spring/summer 2027, drawing on early-2000s clothing and styling.
Low waists appear in jeans, voluminous shorts, pleated skirts and dress seams, alongside capris, flared trousers and off-shoulder striped tops.
Accessories include belts, chains, buckled bags, PVC jelly bags and platform footwear. Prices, sizes, release dates and channels require individual confirmation.
Moving the waist changes more than the waistband
A lower waist is not simply a measurement on a pair of jeans. When it becomes the starting point of pleats or a seam on a dress, it changes the visual divisions of an outfit. The same top can produce different relationships of length when paired with bottoms that sit at different heights.
Look separately at the garment and the completed styling: where the waistband, skirt and top hem meet, and which lines are emphasized again by a belt or shoes. This helps explain the design without suggesting that everyone should expose the waist in the same way or that one proportion suits every body.

Dresses over trousers introduce another layer
The collection pairs dresses with trousers and combines shorts with long socks and boots. Capris and flares create different endpoints and leg lines, allowing the low-waist direction to take more than one form. Off-shoulder striped tops can move the focus between the upper and lower body.
For an everyday interpretation, there is no need to add every element at once. Start with an existing dress over trousers and observe how the hems overlap, or change the trouser length and compare how much of the shoe remains visible. These are styling comparisons, not claims that the display looks have been wear-tested for every setting.

Accessories extend the period reference
Large buckles, ruffled bags and chains draw attention to the waist and hands. Studded PVC jelly bags in mint green and beige add a different reflection and colour. Buckled shoes, substantial platform boots and furry mules offer different visual weights beside the clothing.
Choose whether the waist, bag material or shoe silhouette should be the main focus. A photographed platform effect does not guarantee comfort or safety, while PVC and furry materials have their own care requirements. Compare the eventual product information with your needs rather than treating a Y2K label as a complete buying guide.
