Hoshino’s 2027 Hotel Plans: Choose Between Fukui’s Dinosaur Forest, Ureshino Baths and Asuka Gardens
RISONARE Fukui is planned for September 10, 2027, HOSHINOYA Asuka for July 22 and KAI Ureshino for summer. Compare their forest architecture, in-room open-air baths, gardens and reservation timelines before choosing a trip.
A 2027 Japan hotel list can start with the purpose of the trip rather than a single ranking. Among Hoshino Resorts’ announced properties, RISONARE Fukui in Katsuyama draws on dinosaur forests and geological layers; KAI Ureshino in Saga centres on hot springs and private open-air baths; HOSHINOYA Asuka in Nara puts low buildings and village-inspired gardens at its heart. They sit in different regions and can each anchor a separate journey.
As of October 2026, these remain next year’s opening plans, not completed hotels already accommodating guests. Fukui is scheduled for September 10 and Asuka for July 22, while Ureshino is planned for summer. Exterior and room renderings help explain the spatial concepts; they are not an account of an ÉTAT HER stay. Actual facilities and services should be checked as opening information develops.
Fukui: extend a dinosaur-museum visit into a forest stay
RISONARE Fukui will be in Katsuyama Dinosaur Forest, the park setting shared with the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. Its architecture takes inspiration from a pine cone resting on the ground, incorporating strata and memories of the ancient landscape. The exterior rendering shows a rounded volume with horizontal layers surrounded by trees. That relationship with the forest is the attraction; it does not establish an identical panoramic view from every room.
The planned top-floor panoramic wellness area includes public baths, a sauna, spa, lounge and pool, with views towards Katsuyama’s mountains and the Kuzuryu River. Opening is planned for September 10, 2027, with reservations starting in April 2027. Travellers prioritising the museum should separately check its ticketing and closure days: staying nearby does not automatically include admission or guarantee entry.
Ureshino: 28 maisonette rooms with open-air baths
KAI Ureshino is planned to open in summer 2027, with reservations expected to begin that spring. All 28 rooms are planned as maisonettes with open-air baths, while a spa facility called Bihadagoya sits at the centre. The room rendering combines timber, tatami and a view towards a garden. It suggests a stay with time set aside for bathing and the room itself, rather than a schedule filled with long-distance outings.

A split-level room also makes circulation, stairs and bed placement worth checking, particularly for older companions or anyone needing accessible arrangements. The spa’s name and hot-spring positioning are part of a hospitality proposal, not established evidence of a skin treatment effect. Check treatment prices, age requirements, booking arrangements and whether any service is included in the room rate; a rendering cannot answer those questions.
Asuka: 35 rooms and terraced gardens, with rate conditions to compare
HOSHINOYA Asuka is scheduled to open in Asuka village, Nara, on July 22, 2027, with 35 rooms. Low tiled-roof buildings are arranged separately around a central garden responding to the local terraced landscape. The official description also highlights single-storey spaces and the imagery of local tiles and stone. Garden walks, architectural details and the historic landscape become part of the journey rather than simply an alternative bed outside Nara city.
The official Asuka page already offers a booking link, but an opening date, bookable dates and the date of a stay are separate matters. Compare rates on the same basis: per person or per room, occupancy, meals and cancellation terms. Do not directly compare starting prices calculated in different ways. These three properties are far apart; choosing one area first, then confirming accommodation and transport, makes a more practical starting point.
