'GTA 6' Hands Soundtrack Duties to Justice, Who Pack Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard Into a Single Track

French electronic duo Justice has been confirmed by Rockstar Games as the force behind Grand Theft Auto 6's in-game soundtrack. Their newly unveiled track "Flower In A Hurricane," which also plays over the latest trailer, unites Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard in one song.

'GTA 6' Hands Soundtrack Duties to Justice, Who Pack Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard Into a Single Track

One song, three names whose styles have absolutely nothing in common: Tame Impala's psychedelic guitar, SZA's R&B vocals, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's noise-rock edge. Tying it all together is Justice, the French electronic duo Rockstar Games has just confirmed as the force behind the in-game soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto 6.

On October 15, Rockstar Games dropped the official release trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, with the game set to launch on November 19. In the 90-second clip, dual protagonists Lucia and Jason walk the streets of Vice City—"What should have been an easy score goes wrong, leaving them caught up in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the state of Leonida, forced to rely on each other more than ever just to survive," reads the official press release describing the plot.

The trailer is scored by Justice's new single "Flower In A Hurricane," which features Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar also confirmed that Justice didn't just contribute the single—they handled the entire original score for GTA 6.

"Flower In A Hurricane" will also be included on Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album, a 34-track original compilation created specifically for the game. The full tracklist hasn't been revealed yet, but 9 songs are already known, with a lineup spanning Yung Lean, Travis Scott, Cardi B, Morgan Wallen, and the late guitar legend Keith Richards' "Bright Lights, Big City."

Last week, Rockstar announced the first batch of 6 in-game radio stations, hosted by Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Robyn, as well as Slayer's King Kerry and Tom Araya. GTA 6 will also introduce on-demand podcasts for the first time—and you won't need to be in a car to listen. The dev team explained that players can use new in-game headphones and smartphones to listen to radio stations and podcasts while walking around.

In another piece of news unrelated to music but generating just as much buzz, Rockstar executive Phil Hooker confirmed in an October 14 interview that the next title won't take another eight years to come out. "The engine, tools, and team we've built through this development process will let us work faster going forward," he said. "I'm confident we can build on this foundation, expanding outward rather than just stacking more on top, to create even more substantial content."
