Canadian brand The Ordinary is expanding into the Taiwan market in 2026, and had held a brand experience event at Huashan from October 9 to 14. The event has already ended, but the brand's approach to ingredient naming and pricing is still worth using as an entry point for understanding skincare.
For example, the 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc serum, or the 2% Hyaluronic Acid + B5 serum, place the key ingredient and concentration directly in the product name. This way of presenting information makes it easier to compare between products, and encourages consumers to first ask themselves what they actually need.
However, clearly labeling concentration doesn't mean a higher number is always better suited to you. The complete formula, product labeling, and your own skin condition should all be considered together. Starting with a single need, rather than buying an entire line at once, makes it easier to build a skincare habit that can be sustained long-term.
