From her hospital bed, Phoebe Bridgers posed for a photo holding an Official Charts No. 1 trophy. On August 21, her third studio album "Lost Weekend" hit the top spot on the UK Albums Chart—while she herself was being treated in hospital for appendicitis.

"Lost Weekend," released August 14, marks her first solo album to top the UK charts, surpassing 2020's "Punisher," which peaked at No. 6. Her only previous chart-topping experience came with boygenius, the trio she formed with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, whose album "The Record" hit No. 1 in 2023. "Lost Weekend" also topped the Vinyl Albums Chart and Record Store Chart, marking the first No. 1 album for her indie label Dead Oceans.

Bridgers had a run of promotional shows lined up for the album's release week. On August 17, her 32nd birthday, she played two phone-free intimate shows at London's Union Chapel to celebrate the album's launch. Additional shows planned for Kingston, Brighton, and Bristol were all canceled due to her hospitalization.

The three postponed shows have now been confirmed to take place after her UK and European tour wraps up, in December: Bristol Electric on December 15, Brighton Chalk on December 16, and Kingston Circuit on December 17—each location now hosting two shows, an afternoon and evening performance. Fans who already have tickets can use them as originally purchased, and organizers say details on additional ticket releases will be announced separately. As with the Union Chapel shows, all attendees will be required to lock their phones in Yondr pouches for the duration of the performances.

Bridgers kicks off the North American leg of her "Lost Tour" next month, before heading to the UK, Ireland, and Europe in November and December. NME gave "Lost Weekend" a five-star review, and Taylor Swift publicly praised the album as "a win on every level." Eagle-eyed fans have also spotted a hidden collaboration with former Black Country, New Road frontman Isaac Wood on the physical edition of the album, and are speculating whether Geese frontman Cameron Winter contributed to two tracks under a pseudonym.
