What to know | Tommy Hilfiger x FRGMT revisits the 1990s: Japan pop-up dates

Tommy Hilfiger and FRGMT, managed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, collaborate for the first time and went on general sale in Japan on October 15, 2026. There are 21 models in the series, based on the brand's representative style in the 1990s, adding lightning, polka dots and adjusted flag identification, covering jackets, knitwear, shirts, pants and accessories. The prices announced in Japan range from 13,200 to 165,000 yen.

How does Hiroshi Fujiwara deal with the familiar American college uniform?

series uses materials such as flannel, dry-touch cotton jersey, washed nylon and heavyweight cotton twill. These different surfaces allow the same brand recognition to appear on softer, firmer or lightweight clothing. The difference in materials also reminds readers that collaboration is not just about looking at the chest logo, but also comparing the clothes themselves one by one.

Products include leather baseball jackets, rugby shirts, field jackets and chino pants; as well as light blue Tommy flag twist sweaters, plaid shirts, hooded tops, T-shirts, travel bags and hats. The 90s style here is not a single retro pattern, but a wardrobe composed of college uniforms, sportswear and everyday outerwear.

When will Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya pop-up?

Japan official purchase announcementlists three pop-up locations: POPUP SPACE GATE on the first floor of Shibuya PARCO and THE WINDOW on the first floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO until October 21st; a special venue on the seventh floor of JR Nagoya Takashimaya until October 27th. The end dates of the three places are not the same, so the itinerary should be checked with the actual store.

General access also includes designated stores such as Omotesando, Lazona Kawasaki, Fukuoka Canal City OPA and Osaka LUCUA. The official also stated that the store may end early due to inventory during the period, and numbered entry tickets may be issued during busy periods. Therefore, the pop-up is still within the exhibition period, and there is no guarantee that every style and size will be available.

Online Purchase and Purchase Restrictions

The Japanese official website has provided MY TOMMY members with advance purchase on October 14th, and general sales will be open from 0:00 on October 15th. The advance period has passed, and readers no longer need to regard the membership pre-sale date as an opportunity that has not yet started. The official announcement also lists a purchase limit of up to two items of the same style and color, and the condition that Japanese online stores only deliver within Japan.

If you want to choose one piece from the entire series, you can first think about whether what you are missing is a jacket, knitwear, or accessories, and then compare the position of the lightning bolt and the Tommy flag on the item. Styles with highly recognizable patterns can become the focus independently; plaids and twist knits should be considered together with the color of the original wardrobe, and there is no need to buy multiple pieces at once for a complete collaboration look.

Before setting off or placing an order, you can check the latest precautions in Japan’s official purchase announcement. The most noteworthy thing about this collaboration is how FRGMT adjusts the identification and proportions within the existing American clothing design language; the actual styles, wearability and inventory should still be confirmed by returning to the products and stores.
