Nicole Kidman showing up in a pop star's music video is, on its own, worth a second look. This time, she appears in the video for Troye Sivan's new title track "She's the Best," which has just been released, with Kidman as one of the central figures on screen.
Sivan's fourth studio album, She's the Best, is confirmed for release on October 9, marking his follow-up to 2023's Something to Give Each Other. The news rolled out through a series of Instagram posts, first setting the mood for the album before dropping the title track and its music video.
More noteworthy than the video itself is a line from Sivan's statement: "I've come to realize that what's kept me somewhat sane these past few years hasn't been work, and it hasn't been the men — it's been the feminine. Thank you to her." He describes the album as "like a painting," capturing all the emotions and colors of his life — high-concentration highs, with loneliness and longing hiding underneath. The words he chose were "chaotic, layered, organic, messy, alive."
