Wacoal and Chika Kisada translate ballet into lace, velvet and tulle

Wacoal Premium collaborates with Chika Kisada for the first time to incorporate the lines of ballet clothing, tulle, lace, and velvet into daily clothing that is close to the body. There are 6 models in the series. The official Japanese online store began sales on October 15, 2026, and designated stores will start on October 22.

What’s worth watching about this collaboration is how the underwear and outer clothing communicate. The design is not just about adding bows to the surface, but from shoulder straps, chest lines, detachable tulle to blouse layers, so that the same piece of clothing can appear in different combinations. If you want to try a ballet style, you can also start with local details.

Key facts

  • There are 6 styles in total: 2 bras, 2 panties, bra tops and outer blouses.
  • Japan’s official online store began sales October 15; selected physical stores follow October 22.
  • Reference price: Bras start from 13,200 yen, Light Easy Bra starts from 19,800 yen; size will affect the price.

From the lines of ballet clothes to wearable details

The Light Easy Bra combines rose pattern lace with velvet, plus detachable tulle decoration. The chest features Y-shaped details related to ballet clothes. Another bra uses tulle to cover the front piece, and uses lower L-shaped underwires in the front and middle and different back structures to respond to the matching needs of low-necked and backless clothing.

The difference between the two models is not only in price, but also in covering, contact and exposed lines. Before purchasing, you should first compare the neckline, back opening and shoulder strap position that you often wear, and then try it on; product photos can illustrate the design, but they cannot determine the size for everyone's body shape and activity habits.

Bra tops and sheer outer layers expand the styling options

The series also includes a bra top priced at 22,000 yen in Japan and an outer blouse priced at 55,000 yen, which are re-extended from Chika Kisada’s existing design vocabulary. The transparency and weight of the tulle allow the body-hugging structure to become visible styling lines.

The easier way to get started is to first use black tulle as a layer of the overall match, and compare it with plain tops, skirts or neat trousers. If you are not used to high transparency, you can first partially expose or adjust the inner layer, allowing the wearer to decide how much they want to show, instead of being restricted by a single "correct way to wear it".

Comparison of function and decoration between 6 models

The two pairs of underwear are inspired by details such as cross-straps of ballet shoes. The prices announced in Japan are 6,820 yen each. Crossing lines, different tulle pieces and pleat amounts create a visual hierarchy; whether it is suitable for tight-fitting wear, daily activities or specific occasions should still be based on the actual wearing experience.

The series information label material has passed the Wacoal quality standard and can be washed at home, but the care label of each item still needs to be read individually, especially lace, tulle and removable panels. The launch in Japan does not mean simultaneous supply in Taiwan. For cross-border purchases, you should first confirm the return and exchange rules for underwear.
