What to know | Wacoal x Chika Kisada brings ballet tulle to lingerie and outerwear

Wacoal collaborates with Japanese design brand Chika Kisada for the first time. With the theme of "Slender, Strong and Beautiful", Wacoal launches underwear and outerwear that combine ballet design language. The series is produced by Wacoal Premium. It will be launched in the Japanese Wacoal online store on October 15, 2026, and will be sold in designated stores from October 22. It includes two types of bras, two types of underwear, corsets and outerwear, a total of six categories of products.

Ballet inspiration is not only in the tulle, but also enters the structure

Chika Kisada is good at combining the elegance of ballet with a stronger clothing design language. This time she uses Leavers lace, velvet and tulle, combined with Wacoal's design and sewing technology. Materials can create transparency and layer differences, but the position of contact with the body, support methods and buckle arrangements are also part of the underwear design.

Light Easy Bra, priced from 19,800 yen in Japan, combines lace, velvet and removable tulle decoration, with a Y-shaped line on the chest. Another bra, priced from 13,200 yen, covers the front piece with tulle, uses a low L-shaped steel ring in the front center and eliminates the hook fastener on the back. The structures and wearing styles of the two are different, so they cannot be regarded as the same style just because they are similar in appearance.

Underwear, corsets and outerwear are each responsible for different levels

Both types of underwear are priced at 6,820 yen in Japan. They are inspired by the cross straps of ballet suits and pointe shoes. The corset top is 22,000 yen, and the outerwear is 55,000 yen. The latter two models are based on Chika Kisada’s existing designs, and then adjusted from the perspective of underwear, allowing more overlap between the body lines and outer clothing.

Tulle outerwear with a double-layer structure, focusing on the balance of transparency and volume. It can be another layer on top of an inner layer, but how it actually covers the body still depends on size, inner layer, and personal wearing habits. Product photos show styling examples and cannot guarantee that any combination will have the same covering effect.

Can it be cleaned at home? First look at the washing label of each item

Brand description: The materials used meet Wacoal quality standards and are designed for home washing. However, being washable at home does not mean that all washing procedures are applicable; whether removable decorations, lace and tulle need to be processed separately, you should still follow the product washing label and instructions one by one.

When purchasing underwear, it is not advisable to just look at the usual clothing sizes. The underbust circumference and cup size of the bra, as well as the length and fit of the corset top, all need to be compared according to the style and size chart; if necessary, you can ask the store for fitting service. These basic conditions are more useful than simply relying on images to infer support.

The focus of this collaboration is to make the decoration and body-fitting structure visible at the same time. Readers who like Chika Kisada's gauze design language can understand its design from the detachable details and outer wear items; the actual items on sale, sizes and prices can be found throughWacoal official series announcementand product page confirmation.
