Five years after his last solo album 《+/-》, Boys Noize (real name Alex Ridha) has finally announced his new project 《7LLVSION》, releasing the lead single 〈1+1+1〉 alongside the announcement. The track features vocals from Rotterdam underground artist ZEP, whose voice carries a shifting, distinctly individual texture that sits atop Ridha's signature synth arpeggios and dense drum patterns, keeping the restless energy fans expect.
《7LLVSION》 is set for release on November 6th, with the tracklist featuring artists including Brutalismus 3000 and Abra. Pre-orders and pre-saves are now open.
This new solo effort arrives amid Ridha's string of high-profile collaborations in recent years. Earlier this year, he performed alongside Nine Inch Nails at Coachella in a joint set dubbed "Nine Inch Noize," which was later released as a standalone live album. In 2024, he also remixed Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross's score for Luca Guadagnino's film 《Challengers》, the tennis-and-desire drama that went on to become an inescapable pop culture talking point.
Ridha's ties to the music world run deep. In a 2019 interview with The FADER, he spoke about his work on Frank Ocean's 〈DHL〉 and his collaboration with Lady Gaga, noting that his time working with Frank was "really magical" and meant a great deal to him.
