On the night the show opens at London's O2 Arena, there won't be a single frame of gameplay on stage. That's one of the details revealed about the "A Painted Symphony" tour built around the "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" soundtrack, marking the first time a video game soundtrack concert has sold out this venue on its own.

"A Painted Symphony" is drawn from composer Lorien Testard's award-winning score for "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33." The music first made its way onto the stage in late 2025 with a small-scale tour across France, followed by additional European dates earlier this year that all sold out. Organizers have now confirmed a much larger world tour for 2027, spanning both Europe and North America.

According to the official press release, Lorien Testard, Alice Duport-Percier, and Orchestre Curieux will bring the soundtrack's core themes to life in a specially arranged stage production, letting audiences relive the musical memory of the journey through symphonic arrangements, rich instrumentation, and live vocal performances.

The tour kicks off on January 28, 2027 at La Galaxie in Amnéville, France, and wraps up on October 7 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Along the way, it stops at London's O2 Arena (February 28), Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona (March 23), Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam (May 6), with two-night runs at Radio City Music Hall in New York (September 29-30) and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (October 6-7). The London date is the tour's only UK stop.

In an interview with NME earlier this year, Testard explained why "A Painted Symphony" deliberately leaves out gameplay footage: "I don't like using game footage in concerts. What matters to me is being there with the musicians, because that's a rare moment where everyone gets to experience something together." He also shared that while the success of "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" and its soundtrack still leaves him feeling "overwhelmed" at times, more often than not, he describes it as a "profound joy."

Tickets go on sale September 15. For the full schedule and details, check the official announcement.
