The Chuck Taylor has always been a shoe you can pair with anything, but this time Converse Japan gives it a whole new backstory: weaving the look of an MA-1 flight jacket straight into the upper. The new release, called the All-Star MA Nylon OX, is a low-top Chuck Taylor that feels and looks more like a perfectly tailored bomber jacket than a sneaker.
The focus here isn't a shape change but a material swap. The upper is remade in tightly woven nylon fabric, paired with an orange lining that directly echoes the signature orange interior of MA-1 jackets. Everything else stays true to the classic Chuck Taylor silhouette: the chunky rubber outsole, the familiar All-Star ankle patch on the heel. In other words, there's no new pattern here — just a reset of fabric and color language.
