Bobby Kim, Global Creative Director of Disney Consumer Products, curates "Collection 1: Classics," six adult tees reimagining classic animations like "The Little Mermaid" and "The Lion King," launching for a limited time on August 20.

This time, Disney tapped its own in-house talent for design rather than an outside collaborator. Bobby Kim, Vice President and Global Creative Director of Disney Consumer Products, is behind "Collection 1: Classics"—the first drop in an ongoing collaboration with Kim. All six adult tees draw directly from his personal taste for vintage Disney imagery, blending the worn-in feel of retro theme park tees with the graphic language of 1990s skate subculture.

The lineup skips the crowd-pleasers. A navy "The Little Mermaid" tee is deliberately faded to mimic 1980s park merch; an ivory "Lady and the Tramp" tee recreates the iconic spaghetti-sharing scene from the 1955 film; and a white "Oliver & Company" tee pays tribute to the 1988 New York-set animation.

Villains and side characters take center stage this time around. A black "The Lion King" tee puts Scar and the hyena trio—Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed—front and center on the main graphic; a white Mickey tee uses a rare oval skate-graphic layout from the 1990s, finished with a red bow-tie detail. The standout piece is the "Fantasia" tee, leaning full Harajuku with an all-over star print on black and hand-drawn illustrations, starring Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey.
