Kyoko Hasegawa’s lifestyle label ESS BY will hold its first standalone pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku from October 28 to November 3. The main building’s third-floor Center Park / The Stage #3 brings together the autumn/winter 2026 collection and the brand’s first home accessories.

Its path from underwear to outer clothing and now objects for the home offers a gradually expanding lifestyle proposition. You can compare one garment, cushion or multipurpose cover without needing to adopt an entire look or redesign a room.

At a glance

  • October 28–November 3, 2026; listed hours 10:00–20:00, subject to the department store’s arrangements.
  • Isetan Shinjuku, main building third floor, Center Park / The Stage #3.
  • Autumn/winter 2026 clothing, debut home accessories and pop-up exclusives; a Hasegawa visit event is also planned.

From lingerie to everyday layers

ESS BY began as a lingerie label in 2021 around enjoying being a woman, then renewed the brand and launched clothing in 2025. The background makes this an opportunity to consider how a close-to-skin base connects to outer layers.

Think about your most-used necklines, jackets and trouser or skirt shapes, then where a new item would fit among them. A brand story can spark interest; touch, room for movement and care requirements determine whether a piece belongs in everyday life.

Cushions and covers change the scale

The debut home-accessory offering includes cushions and multipurpose covers. Clothing moves with the body, while a textile at home spends longer alongside a chair, bed or room palette. They can share an atmosphere without requiring everything to match.

Note your seating and storage space before visiting, then ask about dimensions, materials and washing instructions. Campaign photography has its own lighting and styling: use it for inspiration rather than as a promise that an item will look identical in every room.

Choose what to see during the short run

The pop-up also offers limited items, allowing clothing and home pieces to be compared in person. If one product is your priority, record its name and ask about stock, try-ons or handling. Limited availability does not mean every colour and size will be there.

A visit by Hasegawa is planned during the run, but that does not establish daily attendance or unrestricted photographs. Check both department-store hours and event notices before travelling, and leave time for queues instead of relying on an unconfirmed meeting.
