Complicated Watches for Women Too: Starting with Franck Muller's Jumping Hours

Franck Muller's creations often turn the act of 'reading time' into a visual game in itself. The Crazy Hours scrambles the arrangement of hour markers, with the hour hand mechanically set to jump to the next numeral; a familiar dial thus gains a different reading order.

The brand's collaboration with artist Jisbar, the Vanguard Crazy Hours Jisbar Lady, further reshapes the hour markers through color and imagery. Other pieces display time via multiple rotating discs, allowing jewelry-like decoration and complicated mechanics to participate together in women's watch design.

What these works suggest is that choosing a women's watch can also begin with the fascination of the movement itself. Understanding the display method before trying it on, then comparing size and the feel of operation, may bring one closer to personal collecting interests than sorting merely by diamonds or color.

agnès b. Presents Spring/Summer 2027 at La Fab: Bringing Art Into Parisian Everyday Life

agnès b.'s Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear was presented at Paris's La Fab, letting the runway share a room with the brand's long-cultivated art collection. Mint green and sky blue linen, the signature Photoprints photographic transfers, black rock-inspired looks, and a gender-defying white gown closing the show all appeared in sequence—but the collection has so far only been presented, and whether and when individual pieces will go on sale remains to be arranged by the brand.
