Frank Turner Confirms Farewell Run: Lost Evenings Wraps at Wembley in 2027

28 years on the road, 10 studio albums, over 3,000 shows — that's the tally Frank Turner is putting on his own career as a touring artist. And he's chosen to close it out the way he knows best: bringing the final chapter back to the festival he founded himself, back to where it all started — London.

Turner confirmed that the tenth and final edition of Lost Evenings will run from November 4-7, 2027 at OVO Arena Wembley in London. The four shows will be his last tour dates "for the foreseeable future." "After 28 years on the road, 10 albums, and over 3,000 shows, it's time for a change," he wrote in his statement. "Next year's Lost Evenings will be the biggest, best, and final edition of the festival. The 4 shows there will be my last performances for the foreseeable future."

Not retirement — a break

Turner was blunt about the reasons for his break, without dressing it up as some grand farewell narrative. "I've spent most of my adult life on the road... I want to try new things," he wrote. "I want to recharge, spend more time with friends and family, and explore other ways of living." He also pointed to industry realities: "The economics of touring have gotten harder, the way social media has swallowed up the music industry doesn't really appeal to me, and as I get older, my mental and physical health need some looking after too."

But he was equally clear that this isn't a retirement announcement. "I genuinely don't know when I'll perform again. It'll definitely be a while," he wrote at the close of his statement. "So let's make these last few shows count. With joy, humility, and gratitude, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at Wembley in November 2027, for a few Last Evenings."

The choice of Wembley carries weight of its own: it's the very venue where Turner first headlined an arena-scale show back in 2012. Lost Evenings, meanwhile, launched at London's Roundhouse in 2017 before touring through Boston, Berlin, Anaheim, Toronto, Edinburgh, and Dallas — making this return to its birthplace something of a full-circle finale.

Across the four nights, Turner and his longtime backing band The Sleeping Souls will headline with different setlists each evening. The festival will also feature the Nick Alexander Stage for emerging artists, along with daytime programming including talks and workshops; the full lineup has yet to be announced. £1 from every weekend ticket will be donated through PLUS1 to support three organizations: The Ally Coalition, The Nick Alexander Music Trust, and Way Out Arts.

General sale tickets for Lost Evenings X go live at 10am UK time (10pm Taiwan time... wait, adjusting) — general sale opens at 10am UK time on September 30 (Taiwan time), with artist presale already underway. Live Nation and venue presales begin at 10am UK time on September 29.

In recent years, Turner has been an outspoken advocate for the UK's grassroots live venue scene: in 2024, he called for a £1 levy on arena and stadium tickets to support smaller venues, and donated £1 from every ticket on his 2025 UK tour to the Music Venue Trust. That same May, he also set a record by playing 15 shows in 15 towns within 24 hours, in support of independent venues and record shops. His latest and tenth studio album, *Undefeated*, was released in May 2024, marking his return to independent label Xtra Mile after a decade with major labels.
