A single watch, linking two oceans. This time, Grand Seiko skipped the usual launch venues of Tokyo or Geneva, choosing instead to lock all 50 limited-edition pieces directly into two Honolulu stores — a move that speaks for itself: this isn't a watch for the global market, it's a watch for the community right by Waikiki Beach.
The SBGA527 Spring Drive Limited Edition is a store-exclusive model crafted specifically for Ben Bridge Jeweler, drawing inspiration from the "Goodwill Beach City Relationship" between Wakayama's Shirahama Beach and Hawaii's Waikiki. The dial features a deep blue tone that echoes the clarity of Shirahama's coastal waters, paired with hand-cut diamond-faceted hour markers and multi-faceted hands that catch light from every angle. The overall design continues the classic silhouette of the 1967 62GS, with a 40mm case and bracelet crafted from lightweight, scratch-resistant High-Intensity Titanium, finished with Grand Seiko's signature distortion-free Zaratsu polishing.
