According to a report by Marie Claire Taiwan, the 2026 Christmas makeup season is underway, with CHANEL, Dior and YSL each launching limited-edition packaging and holiday color palettes spanning eyeshadow, lip products and blush.
CHANEL's collection draws inspiration from winter scenery in the Alps, featuring palettes wrapped in soft white cases with snow-peak embossing. The color range includes a rosewood-toned blush, gold-hued highlighter, and taupe-gold shimmer eyeshadow, leaning into a natural, dewy flush. The line launched on October 16, 2026 at designated CHANEL counters and online beauty retailers.
Dior's collection centers on honey, cinnamon and milk-tea tones, incorporating the house's Médaillon oval emblem across lipstick, cushion compact and palette designs. The medallion lipstick even comes with an adhesive sticker card so it can be attached to the back of a phone for easy carrying. The collection launched online at Dior's flagship store on October 8, followed by a nationwide counter release on October 15; some palettes are available only at select counters.
YSL's offering uses a mirrored wine-red case paired with an enlarged gold Cassandre logo, fronted by brand ambassador Dua Lipa, and centers on contrasting looks—from smoky wine-red eyes to rosy nude lips. The limited makeup pieces and holiday sets go on sale nationwide on October 20, while the limited blush already had an exclusive debut at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi counters on October 10. Shoppers are advised to check with official counters for item availability before deciding what to purchase first.
