At the same travel fair, some are paying NT$10,999 to stay in a Scandi-minimalist capsule-style hotel, while others are shelling out NT$28,800 for the world's No.1-ranked five-star hotel — the latter normally starts at NT$62,500, meaning guests are getting less than half price. That's exactly what the Hong Kong Tourism Board and six travel agencies are aiming for with their 10-day "Hong Kong Online Travel Fair," running from September 29 to October 8. The fair bundles autumn and winter's three biggest events — Halloween city-wide celebrations, the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival, and an Old Town Central stroll — into four price tiers: "Budget-Friendly," "Tipsy & Chill," "Top-Tier Luxury," and "Best Value," letting travelers decide just how big they want to go. Three-day, two-night packages (tax included) start from NT$10,999, with full itineraries available at theHong Kong Online Travel Fair official website.

Wine & Dine Festival and Halloween Bash Both Land in October

Hong Kong Online Travel Fair Launches: Halloween, Wine & Dine, and Old Town Central from NT$10,999

The Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival will run from October 29 to November 1 at Central Stage on the Central Harbourfront, with over 300 stalls lined up along the Victoria Harbour skyline. Alongside the international wine lineup, this year adds sparkling tea, low-alcohol craft beer, and creative cocktails. The "Fine Wine Zone" gathers more than 20 top wine merchants, hosting over 20 masterclasses and tasting sessions. The "Gourmet Pavilion" brings in five chefs: Edward Lee, who rose to fame on Netflix's Culinary Class Wars; French master chef Thierry Marx; Chen Zhiping, executive chef of Shanghai's "Ye Wai Tan"; Yang Yanbin, head chef of Hong Kong's "Quan Hui Guan"; and Lau Yiu-fai, executive chef of two-Michelin-star restaurant Celebrity Cuisine. Each will design limited-time wine-pairing menus for the event. A new addition this year, the "Only in Hong Kong" section features over 100 restaurants — including Michelin-starred establishments and beloved local eateries — serving up signature dishes and limited-edition street food versions.

Halloween is equally packed with action. Hong Kong is holding its first-ever cross-district cosplay party this year, with two warm-up events on October 17 and 24, followed by multiple landmark districts transforming into themed party hotspots simultaneously on Halloween night, October 31. The city's two major theme parks are also upping the ante: Hong Kong Disneyland Resort's "Disney Halloween Time" runs from September 18 to November 1, with classic Disney villains popping up for interactive encounters throughout the park; Ocean Park Hong Kong's "Halloween Bash" runs from September 5 to November 1, teaming up with musician Jackson Wang's original IP "Under the Castle," for which he serves as creative director, to deliver an immersive scare experience.

Old Town Central: Exploring the Old Streets with a Map and a Tram

Hong Kong Online Travel Fair Launches: Halloween, Wine & Dine, and Old Town Central from NT$10,999

"Old Town Central" is the Hong Kong Tourism Board's flagship neighborhood-strolling initiative, centered on the world's longest outdoor covered escalator system — the Central–Mid-Levels Escalator. Travelers can pick up a physical "Old Town Map" to hunt down hidden neighborhood gems; spend HK$200 or more at designated merchants in a single day and you can redeem a limited-edition street-sign fridge magnet for free at Central Market, Tai Kwun, or PMQ. Fourteen bars honored by 50 Best — including COA, Montana, The Opposites, The Savory Project, and Tell Camellia — will also launch Central-inspired "Old Town Exclusive" cocktails. For travelers who'd rather explore the old streets a different way, there's the "Ding Ding Food Tour" — a Klook collaboration with Hong Kong Tramways — offering about an hour of dining while riding the tram. The tram serves up seven classic Hong Kong flavors: roast meat rice, stuffed three treasures, shark fin soup (imitation), Hong Kong-style dim sum, egg tarts, tofu pudding, and sugarcane juice. Running Friday through Sunday, it's now exclusively available on Klook for HK$399.
