The Hsinchu County Main Library next to Dongxingzhen Park in Zhubei is counting down to its opening. The current plan is to launch a trial operation on October 29, 2026 and officially open on December 18. The design is based on the direction of "library in the forest", combining natural greenery, Hakka architectural vocabulary and the reading needs of all ages, making reading a part of the urban green corridor.
For those who want to arrange a weekend visit, the most important thing is to distinguish between trial operation and official opening. The trial operation may provide services in stages. The actual opening of floors, collection borrowing and event registration must still be confirmed by the library's announcements. It cannot be assumed that all functions have been activated simultaneously by just looking at the photos of the building's exterior.
