KAPTAIN SUNSHINE didn't redraw any patterns this season. Instead, the brand took several existing coat archetypes and dressed each one in more considered fabric. FW26 puts its full weight on outerwear, with three pieces standing in as the season's showcase: the Cashmere Linen Washed Twill Walker Coat, the Organic Cotton Gabardine Umbrella Coat, and the Sheepskin Riders Jacket.

The Walker Coat has long been a brand staple, and this time it's rebuilt in a washed cashmere-linen twill, landing somewhere between casual and dressed-up. The Umbrella Coat switches to an organic cotton gabardine—a fabric with inherent structure that plays well against the coat's raincoat-inspired silhouette. The Sheepskin Riders Jacket takes a different route, using shearling to give the biker jacket's rugged edge a closer fit and more weight. Three different fabrics, three different feels, but all working toward the same idea: giving an established workwear shape a new surface texture.
