Krispy Kreme Turns Six Pokémon into Doughnuts to Celebrate the Franchise's 30th Anniversary

Slapping Pokémon onto frosting isn't exactly new territory, but rounding up six classic characters at once—complete with limited-edition cups and packaging—is Krispy Kreme going all in. This collab celebrating Pokémon's 30th anniversary stars Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, and a Poké Ball-shaped doughnut—six uniquely decorated treats that together read like a mini Pokédex.

Beyond the individual doughnuts, the lineup has another highlight: five collectible cups featuring different character designs, each filled with ten Original Glazed Gold Dots. These will roll out as 12-count boxed sets, with some retail locations also offering 6-count packs for anyone who just wants a quick taste.

For die-hard fans, Saturday, August 22 is where the real Easter egg drops—show up at participating locations in Pokémon-themed cosplay and get a free Original Glazed Doughnut. It's the kind of "you have to dress up to unlock it" deal that feels less like a discount and more like a secret handshake for longtime trainers.

The Krispy Kreme x Pokémon doughnut lineup officially launches August 18, 2026 at participating U.S. locations, online, and via the app, with pre-orders opening early on August 13.
