The swing was still there, and so was the porch house — the stage setup Lana Del Rey has favored in her recent live shows made its way trackside this time too. The F1 Singapore Grand Prix performance marked her first appearance on stage in nearly a year, and also the live debut of "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter."
The career-spanning setlist included "Young and Beautiful," "Video Games," and "Summertime Sadness." As always, she spent most of the set perched on her swing, backup dancers trailing behind her, with the stage design carrying over the porch house visuals from her previous tours. The real difference this time was the addition of "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter" to the lineup.
Released this past February, the single was co-written by Del Rey with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law, then produced by longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, who gave it an airy, minimalist sound. It's the third song released from her upcoming album *Stove*, following "Henry, Come On" and "Bluebird," both of which came out last year.
*Stove* has gone through more than one name change. It was first announced in January 2024 under the title *Lasso*, with Del Rey planning to release it that same year and describing it as her first full-on country album — she'd mentioned back in 2021 that she'd recorded an entire country covers record, and in 2023 she covered "Stand By Your Man" and "Unchained Melody," plus released a cover of "Take Me Home, Country Roads." She told NME she went back and forth on whether to keep the country theme, since the whole music industry seemed to be heading in that direction; the album was later renamed *The Right Person Will Stay* before finally settling on *Stove*.
It'll be nearly three years this coming March since her last album, *Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd*. She previously told W Magazine that the track "Stars Fell on Alabama" from that record was written for her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, a swamp tour guide in Louisiana.
*Stove* still doesn't have an official release date. Del Rey also announced that an as-yet-untitled companion album will be released alongside it. She wrote on Instagram: "So much has happened in the last four years. It took a long time for things to come together, and a lot of time wondering if it was ok for things to fall apart too. Patience is the thing, and between the songs, new ideas about old friends and new dreams emerged, growing new branches out of the doubt of whether the trees I planted would really grow, and so a new cluster of roses grew beneath the willow." She called *Stove* "a classic record," saying it's "as beautiful and complete as it was always meant to be," and described both albums as "two of my most beautiful works," with the second one "sprouting from doubt, hope, and understanding what starting completely over really means."
