No New Fabrics This Round: Levi's x sacai's Third Collaboration Finds Chitose Abe Pushing Deconstructed Cuts Even Further

For their third collaboration, Levi's and sacai skipped new fabrics this time around, instead choosing to revisit the materials and threads used in the previous two seasons, pouring their energy into silhouette work instead. Chitose Abe continues her signature deconstruction technique, further taking apart and reassembling new contours on top of familiar denim foundations—this is what sets this collection most apart from the previous two: instead of relying on materials for freshness, it lets the cutting do the talking.

The full collection comprises 12 pieces spanning men's and women's wear, centered on four core items: a shearling jacket, a blouson jacket, wide-leg belted denim pants, and flared belted denim pants, each available in raw indigo and washed indigo versions.

Shearling Jacket and Blouson: Subtle Details Set Men's and Women's Versions Apart

The shearling jacket keeps a relaxed silhouette, built on indigo selvedge denim as its base and topped with faux shearling, while the pockets are swapped for genuine leather. The washed finish and hardware details carry over from last season. Both the men's and women's versions share the same design vocabulary, but the men's style features side seam pockets absent from the women's version—a deliberate gendered design difference that's rarely seen in collaboration collections.

The blouson jacket follows a different kind of relaxed logic, with cleaner lines and sacai's signature pocket design added to the sleeve sides, while the women's version features side seam slits. Elastic cuffs and hem give the entire jacket a three-dimensional layered look, with the washed effect and hardware details echoing the shearling jacket.

Seven-Pocket Denim: The Most Compelling Detail This Season

Both bottom pieces use selvedge indigo denim. The wide-leg belted denim pants feature a relaxed mid-rise cut, with sacai-branded buttons on the belt loops continuing the belt design language from the previous collaboration. The flared belted denim pants pair a standard rise with a flared leg, layering welt pockets above the classic back pockets to create a seven-pocket structure—the most complex design among the four core pieces, and where the deconstructive thinking is most evident. The washed effects on the jacket and pants echo each other, working equally well worn alone or as a set.

The Levi's x sacai collaboration will launch in limited quantities at select stores starting September 30. On the first day, priority access goes to Levi's Rewards Gold tier members—in-store purchases require members to present their membership barcode for staff verification, while online purchases require login for identity verification, with early access starting at 11am. From October 1, the collection opens to all customers, with online sales also starting at 11am. Purchases are limited to one piece per item per person, with availability and sizing subject to in-store stock, while supplies last.
