How do you tell the story of a bond between a boy and his monster through a single ring? Artist Philip Gefaell's answer is to have Charizard burst free from an architecturally-inspired metal frame, coiling around a central "A" emblem representing Ash Ketchum. This one-of-a-kind high jewelry piece, dubbed the Ash Charizard Ring, was created to celebrate Pokémon's 30th anniversary, commissioned by a well-known Pokémon card collector and dealer.

The ring's main body is crafted from 18K white gold, with a sandblasted surface finish that creates a deliberately industrial, futuristic texture. In contrast, the Charizard figure coiling around it is sculpted from highly polished 18K rose gold, with the interplay between the two metal finishes forming the visual centerpiece of the entire piece. The band is set with natural VVS-grade diamonds, continuing the digitized, slightly weathered geometric motif language that Gefaell first developed for his previous Poké Ball necklace commission.
