Turning a Poké Ball into a camera sounds like something you'd find at a toy convention, but Polaroid is dead serious about this one. To mark Pokémon's 30th anniversary, the brand has teamed up with The Pokémon Company International on a limited-edition collection that Polaroid is calling its biggest collaboration to date. The goal: let both longtime collectors and fresh-off-the-boat new fans capture everyday moments on real film.

At the heart of the collection are three special-edition cameras. Leading the pack is the Polaroid Now Camera Generation 3, wrapped in a bold Poké Ball design that's full-sized and impossible to miss once it's in your hands. Rounding it out are two pocket-sized Polaroid Go Generation 3 cameras, styled after Pikachu and Sylveon respectively. On the accessories side, there's a dedicated instant film pack featuring custom dark frames and Pokémon-themed borders, plus a matching Polaroid Go case, a mini photo album, and a universal camera strap.

Mathieu Galante, Senior Director of Licensing at The Pokémon Company International, said: "Pokémon has always been about discovery, connection, and exploration, and partnering with Polaroid is a natural extension of those values—encouraging fans to capture their most meaningful moments in their own way and turn them into something tangible they can hold onto."

Pricing spans from under $15 for the entry-level universal camera strap to $140 for the Poké Ball edition Polaroid Now camera, covering budgets for casual fans and hardcore collectors alike. Global pre-orders open August 25, 2026, simultaneously on Polaroid's official site and at Pokémon Centers in the US, UK, and Canada, with the official worldwide launch set for October 5, 2026.
