Easter is arriving early this year, landing on April 5. Portman's Restaurant at The Portman Ritz-Carlton Shanghai isn't waiting for late spring—the festive brunch buffet is already back on the menu, with the carvery station starring a whole Brazilian churrasco-style roast lamb leg, skewered whole and carved tableside. It's easily the most theatrical stop on the entire buffet.

Lined up next to the lamb are slow-roasted prime rib with gravy, roast turkey, teriyaki grilled trout, and roast goose—five meats rotating through, keeping to the classic holiday feast playbook without any gimmicks. The raw bar covers salmon, tuna, and yellowtail sashimi, while cold cuts, cheese, Chinese and Western hot dishes, and a salad bar round things out. The dessert table gets a proper Easter makeover, with bunny- and egg-shaped treats packed in—clearly built for the camera.

Two live band sets are scheduled through the event, times unspecified, but enough to carry the background mood for the whole brunch. What really separates the grown-ups from the kids is the activity zone off to the side—Easter egg painting, hangout time with Peter Rabbit, and hoop toss games, with winners walking away with toy cars, Ritz Lion plushies, or lion keychains. In other words: adults queue up at the carvery for their meat, kids toss hoops nearby—this brunch has both crowds covered.
