SATISFY x COROS APEX 4: Reorganizing a Trail Running Watch's Data Into Three Ways of Reading It
SATISFY has teamed up with COROS on the flagship trail running watch APEX 4. Rather than touching the hardware specs, the collab reworks three dedicated watch faces and adds two swappable straps, letting the same training data be read in a whole new way.
This time, SATISFY isn't turning the COROS APEX 4 into a collab watch that looks good but falls short on usability. The real focus of the collaboration lands on two seemingly small things: how information is laid out on the watch face, and how the straps can be swapped.
The COROS APEX 4 is the brand's flagship watch built for high-altitude trail running, ski touring, and technical climbing. Its 1.3-inch always-on MIP display stays readable in bright sun, snow, or shade, and the 46mm version delivers up to 65 hours of GPS battery life on a single charge — meaning ultra runners and long-distance athletes don't have to keep an eye on the battery mid-race. The watch also packs dual-frequency GPS, a dual-range barometer, and a vertical GPS algorithm, keeping positioning and elevation accurate across forests, steep slopes, and high-altitude terrain. None of these specs have changed. SATISFY didn't touch the hardware itself — what it changed is how you view the information.
SATISFY designed three exclusive watch faces for this APEX 4, breaking the same set of data into three distinct reading contexts. Physical Overview shows distance, heart rate, recovery status, calories, and daily activity in one view. Environment Overview groups temperature, rainfall, humidity, and UV together, so you can check the weather before deciding what gear to bring. Training Overview compiles weekly mileage, elevation gain, recovery status, and training load into a compact report. Rather than a cosmetic UI upgrade, it's really about pre-sorting the information runners used to have to piece together themselves.
The accessory changes are more hands-on: the box comes with two straps — a khaki nylon strap printed with the SATISFY logo, and a green silicone strap. Switch between them for everyday wear or outdoor training without needing to buy extras.
The SATISFY COROS APEX 4 hasn't officially launched yet. Sign-ups for new product notifications are open on the official page, but pricing and the exact release date have yet to be announced.
