SHIRO Ginza flagship opens November 6 with four seasonal scents and a potpourri workshop

SHIRO will open its Ginza flagship on November 6, 2026, on the first and second floors of Ginza Building at 3-3-12 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Fragrance, skincare, makeup and home products share a renovated 1960 building with Ginza-exclusive scents, a potpourri workshop and a postcard-writing experience.

The store’s approach begins with materials and memories already present at the site. Wood and stone inherited from former tenant 45R enter a new setting. For visitors planning a Ginza stop, the useful starting points are the opening date, four exclusive fragrances and the time needed for the upstairs workshop. The plans describe a forthcoming store rather than an experience we have visited.

Four seasonal themes, each priced at ¥5,060 for 40mL

Ginza-exclusive SHIKI FRAGRANCE comprises four scents linking Japanese seasons with the district’s imagery. Spring’s SAKURA evokes cherry blossoms and willow; summer’s TAKE connects bamboo with shop-window glass. Autumn’s MATCHA draws on tea and brick streets, while winter’s AKARI brings together lights on cold nights and Ginza’s gas lamps. Each 40mL fragrance costs ¥5,060 including tax.

The listed compositions differ as well. SAKURA includes cherry blossom, white freesia and white musk; TAKE moves from watery and breezy accords to bamboo and gardenia. MATCHA moves from citrus through green tea and jasmine toward woods and musk. AKARI starts with bergamot, neroli and cardamom before floral, clove and sandalwood notes. These are the brand’s descriptions of its compositions; how a fragrance develops on a particular person still calls for trying it.

Seasonal plants become a potpourri creation in about 30 minutes

At the upstairs Potpourri Blender Lab, customers select plants, flowers and pieces of wood, arranging colors and shapes before adding a preferred SHIKI FRAGRANCE. The experience and finished product together cost ¥3,960 including tax. Making the creation and receiving it takes approximately 30 minutes. Materials change with the seasons, so those pictured are not a fixed selection guaranteed on every visit.

The brand describes materials gathered during woodland maintenance and flowers that might otherwise be discarded. The experience therefore involves choosing and arranging materials, offering a different activity from buying a bottled fragrance. This article does not supply unverified booking quotas, age limits or daily session counts. Travelers who want to include the workshop should confirm how the store accepts participants and the expected wait on their chosen day.

Reused wood, stone and a postbox create reasons to stay

DRAWERS designer Hiroyuki Ogura worked on the store, whose ground floor draws on the doma entrance spaces of Japanese homes to connect the interior with the street. Reused wood and stone from 45R retain a connection with the building’s past. The official exterior visualization depicts a white facade, window grids and an open entrance. It represents the planned space rather than a completed-site photograph taken by us, and does not guarantee that every display will remain exactly as shown after opening.

The store also introduces SHARE POST. Customers buying a Ginza-exclusive fragrance or taking the potpourri workshop receive a postcard to write by the window and post. A reused old postbox adds the possibility of sending someone a memory of the trip. Planned hours are 11am–8pm, with irregular closing days. Fragrance shopping and making potpourri can be itinerary options, while opening hours and service arrangements should be checked against the store’s latest information.
