Timberland Brings Back '90s "Concrete" Grey Across Four Men's and Women's Styles

Timberland digs up its archived '90s "Concrete" grey, spanning everything from the classic 6-inch boot to a women's platform loafer, tying together workwear, outdoor, and street style with one unified concrete tone.

Grey is a hard color to make memorable — too cool and it looks cheap, too warm and it loses that concrete edge. The "Concrete" tone Timberland is bringing back sits right in that sweet spot. It's not a new colorway — it's a direct revival of a shade pulled straight from the brand's '90s archives, with the warm-cool balance dialed in precisely.

Leading the men's lineup is the Heritage 6-Inch Waterproof Boot, keeping its classic workboot silhouette and waterproof specs intact. Dipped entirely in this neutral grey, it reads noticeably lighter than the traditional black-and-brown colorway. The Men's Euro Hiker takes a more technical approach, built with EVA midsole cushioning, a steel shank for arch support, and a deep-lugged rubber outsole — a design meant to handle both city streets and mountain trails. In Concrete grey, the workwear edge softens a bit, leaning more toward everyday wear.

The women's side is really the highlight of this collection. The Stone Street Platform Boat Shoe takes the deck-shoe language of a classic boat shoe and puts it on a platform sole — the concrete grey upper paired with a chunky, statement-making outsole gives the traditionally laid-back boat shoe a much heavier street presence once elevated. The Stone Street Platform 6-Inch Boot, meanwhile, takes the brand's signature 6-inch boot and stacks it up even higher, with a deep-lugged rubber outsole, leather laces, and a padded leather collar, plus memory foam footbeds tucked inside. Paired with the matte grey finish, the boot carries serious visual weight without sacrificing comfort.

The four silhouettes span four completely different categories — workboot, technical hiker, boat shoe, and platform boot — yet are unified by the same grey tone. That's really what this "Concrete" collection is doing: not pushing a single new silhouette, but proving that one color can carry across men's and women's, outdoor and street contexts alike. Pricing and an official release date have not yet been announced.
