True Religion Remixes Its Old-School Logos Into Collage Prints, Then Casts a Call to "Spot Yourself"

Horseshoe, Buddha, and Super T get broken down and reassembled into prints and embroidery. Alongside the launch of its Iconography Capsule, True Religion taps Cash Cobain and Jayda Cheaves as ambassadors while opening up an open casting call.

A brand built on logo recognition is now putting "recognition" front and center in its campaign brief. This August, True Religion drops the Iconography Capsule, a limited Fall 2026 collection that deconstructs, blows up, and collages together the brand's most signature symbols—the Horseshoe stitch, the Buddha graphic, and the Big T and Super T contrast stitching—into a fresh lineup of pieces. At the same time, the brand is launching its first-ever open casting call, built around a single question for participants: what makes you recognizable?

The Capsule isn't a straight reissue—it treats the old symbols as raw material to be reworked. The Bobby Print Flag Baggy Jean, Poplin Allover Print Shirt, and Denim Print Halter Top layer the Buddha graphic with bold typography. The No. 1 Logo Denim Print Bomber Jacket and a handful of fleece bottoms bring the focus back to the signature stitching itself. True Religion CMO Kristen D'Arcy told SJ Denim that the collection "takes the elements most associated with the brand and reintroduces them through a current lens." It reads like a press line, but break it down and this is arguably the brand's most unapologetic nostalgia play in years—no attempt to hide what's being sold, just those same old icons, front and center.

The choice of ambassadors follows the same logic. Rapper-producer Cash Cobain and Waydamin founder Jayda Cheaves both front the new campaign, and what they share is that neither built their following by chasing trends. Cheaves put it plainly: "I've always believed the best thing you can do is be yourself... Real recognition comes from people seeing you for who you truly are, and that's something no algorithm can replicate." Cash Cobain spoke to it through style: "What you wear speaks before you even open your mouth. When I'm dressed right, I walk different, I perform different." He also called out his preference for the returning Horseshoe, Super T, and Big T details, noting that denim remains his go-to while the fleece pieces still carry "that True feeling" but land more current.

The Casting Timeline

After the Capsule drops, the brand will roll out a series of social, retail, and in-person activations centered on the question "what makes you recognizable?" Starting August 15, select stores will offer on-site denim customization. On August 22, there's a professional photo experience. The main event lands August 29, when True Religion hosts a flagship casting event at its Los Angeles headquarters, complete with a creator-hosted program, DJ set, exclusive giveaways, and interactive photo stations—with casting decisions made on the spot. Two winners will ultimately be selected to headline the brand's "Ones to Watch" content series, with prizes including a trip to Los Angeles for a shoot, accommodations, brand exposure, and a shopping experience.

D'Arcy frames the activation as a two-way check-in between the brand and its community: True Religion is reminding everyone what it looks like by reviving its own symbols, while simultaneously scouting for real faces "beyond traditional models or influencers" through the casting call. Taken together, the two moves say more about where the brand is headed than any single product drop or ambassador deal could—first, recognize your own symbols; then, go find the people who recognize them too.
