A baby is placed on a table, Angus Young takes out his pen, leans in, and signs — this wasn't part of any official plan, but rather AC/DC's way of making things right with fans after their Toronto show was abruptly cancelled.
The situation began when AC/DC's originally scheduled September 17 (Wednesday) show at Rogers Stadium was cancelled after the venue sustained serious damage from a severe weather event. The band released a statement explaining: "The safety of our fans, artists, crew, and venue staff has always been our top priority. We did everything we could to find a way for the show to go on in Toronto, but ultimately couldn't find an alternative venue that could accommodate everyone."
As a gesture to disappointed fans, AC/DC members made a rare appearance at the local "PWR/UP" pop-up event — normally the pop-up offers exclusive merch, food, and even lets fans hold or pose with one of Young's guitars, but band members themselves usually don't show up in person. This time, Young came out to sign autographs, and in one leaked video, a fan placed the baby they were holding onto the signing table — Young took the pen and signed the autograph directly on the baby.
This isn't the first time he's done this. Earlier this year, during a tour stop in Argentina, Young also signed an autograph on another baby.
AC/DC is currently in the middle of its 2026 North American "PWR/UP" tour, which kicked off in July. Following the Toronto cancellation, the tour is set to resume on September 20 (Sunday) in Winnipeg, with upcoming stops in East Rutherford on September 25 and Philadelphia on September 29. Earlier this month, the band also invited Foo Fighters as a "one-night-only" opening act in Missouri, where frontman Dave Grohl described it onstage as a "bucket list" moment, hinting that a joint tour could be in the cards down the road.
