Calbee Jagarico becomes jewellery: snack cups and a giraffe in miniature
Bandai opens Japanese preorders on October 27 for four Jagarico accessories. The cup, sticks and Jaga-o character appear as sculpted details, with shipping planned from December.
A favourite snack can also become a small sign of personal taste. Bandai Lifestyle is turning Calbee Jagarico into accessories featuring Jaga-o the giraffe, the familiar cup and its potato sticks. Japanese preorders open through BanKore and Premium Bandai at noon JST on October 27, equivalent to 11am in Taiwan.
The collection began as a co-creation project for the snack’s 30th anniversary and reached production around its 31st anniversary on October 23 this year. The anniversary attached to the original project is therefore different from the anniversary in 2026. These are specially sculpted accessories rather than ordinary snack packaging fitted with a hook.
A fan proposal translated into a small sculptural character
The former Jagarico Tankentai fan community submitted merchandise ideas, then supported a proposal for adult-oriented jewellery in a community vote. Further design questionnaires helped develop the products. Its first-place result refers to that particular fan proposal vote, not a national jewellery sales ranking. The community was relaunched as Jagarico-jima on September 1.
Close-up of Jaga-o giraffe holding a snack cup as a pendant
The Jaga-o necklace miniaturises the character holding a cup and eating a stick, retaining the giraffe silhouette from the side. Instead of covering a garment with a character print, it concentrates the reference in a pendant. That offers a styling option for someone who wants a playful detail without letting a single motif occupy the entire outfit.

Cup lettering, textured sticks and two earring structures
The other Jagarico necklace combines the cup and sticks with red and green rhinestones. Engraved branding on the cup, miniature sticks beneath the lid and textured stick surfaces carry the recognition into the smaller scale. The photographs show a gold-toned appearance; they do not establish solid-gold construction. Nor are the coloured rhinestones verified rubies or emeralds.

The remaining options are clip-on earrings and pierced earrings. The four types are two necklaces plus these two earring structures, not four pieces automatically included in one box. Beyond choosing a cup or stick motif, shoppers should check the fastening named on the product page: a clip-on and a post intended for pierced ears meet different needs.
Japanese preorder terms and shipping need separate checks
The announcement lists ¥9,900 including Japanese tax, with shipping and handling charged separately, and an age recommendation of 15 and above. Dispatch is planned from December 2026, though the month may differ by product. An open preorder is not immediate stock, and the Japanese price is not a confirmed Taiwan price with international delivery included.
No fixed universal closing date is established here; quantities may be exhausted earlier, and some physical retailers may sell before preorder shipments. Images show products in development, so appearance or specifications can change. Check each item’s materials, dimensions, fastening and delivery conditions before ordering to match the photographed design with the actual version offered.
