Planning to shop for holiday makeup in Japan? RMK’s October 28 early sale is not a nationwide launch. After Hours Nude has separate department-store, general-release and second-wave dates; a foundation group photograph does not mean every bottle comes in one kit. This guide uses official information available October 27, 2026. It is not a wear test, swatch review or live-stock check.
Three dates, three different shopping situations
RMK confirms an event at the third-floor cosmetics promotion space of Seibu Ikebukuro from October 28 to November 3, with an early After Hours Nude sale beginning October 28. Listed hours are 10:00–20:00 Japan time, subject to the store’s operating arrangements. The general first-wave launch in Japan is October 30; the second wave arrives November 13. These are Japanese dates, not a Taiwan launch announcement. Seibu’s Biryuhyakka also identifies e. Department as an early-sale channel. An online early sale does not include the physical makeup lessons or establish overseas delivery eligibility.
Two ¥8,470 makeup kits: choose the colors you will actually use
The Quiet Provocateur and The Velvet Guest are each ¥8,470 including Japanese tax, listed as limited October 30 releases. RMK describes the first as mauve-led and the second as nude-toned with champagne-gold light; these are brand descriptions, not our on-skin findings. Each combines eyeshadow, liquid blush and lip color. Start with the lip shade you would wear most, then consider whether the eyeshadow works with what you already own. Liking one item does not automatically justify the whole set. The collection’s two nail colors are separate ¥2,200 purchases; appearing in the same campaign image does not make them kit inclusions.
The ¥1,650 foundation offer is an add-on, not the whole kit
The Holiday Base Makeup Kit 2026 costs ¥6,050–8,250 including Japanese tax, depending on the foundation selected. Choose one foundation, then add ¥1,650 for a 15mL makeup-base mini and 1.5g lavender loose-powder mini. You do not receive every foundation shown or listed. If you already need foundation, assess whether those minis are useful; a small add-on still increases your overall spend. The official page specifically gives October 30 at 10:00 Japan time—09:00 in Taiwan—for this kit’s online sale. That time should not be assumed to apply to every product or retailer.
November 13 is another release, not extra contents for October kits
The second wave lists cleansing-oil, W Treatment Oil and W Treatment Lotion duo sets. They are a separate batch of releases, not gifts included with the October 30 makeup kits. For routine skincare replenishment, compare your current products, usage and remaining stock rather than buying to complete a collection. This guide does not assess skincare performance or assume that a limited set suits every skin type.
Four checks for Taiwan-based shoppers before paying
The sources checked do not establish this collection’s official Taiwan launch date or Taiwan prices. They also do not confirm that Taiwan-issued cards, overseas addresses or visitor accounts qualify at the Japanese retailers. Check delivery regions, payment eligibility, stock and cancellation terms with the official channel you plan to use. In-store visitors should check the branch’s assortment and whether makeup services require a separate appointment; an event listing does not guarantee an available slot. All yen figures are Japanese tax-inclusive list prices, not final landed costs in Taiwan.
FAQ
Does Taiwan also launch on October 30?
Not confirmed. October 30 is the verified first-wave Japanese date, not a Taiwan announcement.
Does ¥1,650 buy the complete foundation kit?
No. It is the mini primer-and-powder add-on to one selected foundation. The full kit is ¥6,050–8,250 including Japanese tax.
Will every Japanese counter sell it on October 28?
That cannot be assumed. The verified advance arrangements concern Ikebukuro and the retailer’s named early-sale channels. Check other counters separately.
