Megane Ichiba’s Shaun the Sheep 2027 lucky bags: compare two versions and Japanese shop collection
The ¥9,900 online version pairs a blanket with a ¥12,100 eyewear voucher; the ¥11,000 shop version includes a tote and ¥13,200 voucher. For visitors, collection location and voucher restrictions matter before the apparent difference in value.
A fluffy Shaun the Sheep blanket or tote can catch the eye, but Megane Ichiba’s 2027 lucky bags are not simply character merchandise sold alone. They combine a product with an eyewear voucher restricted to specified uses. The November 2 announcement separates online and shop versions with different contents, prices and procedures. For Taiwan-based readers, first consider whether the specified Japanese collection and redemption arrangements fit a trip, rather than merely subtracting the purchase price from the voucher’s face value.
Both versions use a woolly-looking design with the Shaun the Sheep character. Official product images show the blanket, its button fastening and the tote’s colours, but are illustrations of the merchandise rather than independent warmth, texture, washing or carrying tests. If you do not already need eligible eyewear products, the voucher is not cash to withdraw or a discount card accepted at any shop.
An online application with a blanket does not mean home delivery
The online-exclusive version costs ¥9,900 including tax and contains a Shaun the Sheep blanket plus a voucher usable for ¥12,100 of eligible purchases. Applications run from November 2 at noon to November 23 at 11:59pm Japan time, or 11am to 10:59pm on those respective dates in Taipei. Online-shop membership is required. A lottery applies if applications are numerous, with lottery results expected by registered email on November 24–25. Submitting an application does not guarantee a first-come-first-served purchase.

Even online applicants must collect at their selected participating Japanese shop: there is no home delivery or convenience-store pickup. The shop is chosen when applying and cannot be changed later. Collection runs from that shop’s first business day of 2027 through January 31, with the collection-guidance email expected in late December required at pickup. The official terms say missing the period invalidates collection rights without a refund. A short-term visitor should resolve the itinerary before applying.
The shop version includes a tote and starts with each shop’s New Year opening
The shop-exclusive version costs ¥11,000 including tax and combines a Shaun the Sheep tote with a ¥13,200 eyewear voucher. Sales begin on each shop’s first business day of 2027, first come, first served while stocks last, with no reservations or holding service. Shops in Miyagi Prefecture and some other locations are excluded. It is not available at every Japanese branch, and a general New Year’s Day reference does not mean every shop inside a shopping centre opens at the same time.
The tote images show a light fluffy body, black handles and top edge, and a character-patterned lining. These details support a visual comparison, not a hands-on review. In each version, the voucher’s face value exceeds the pack price by ¥2,200. That difference is not guaranteed savings for every buyer: having an eligible purchase and being able to return to the same shop before expiry come first.

Before the end-of-February expiry, check the shop and eligible purchase
Both the original announcement and the official campaign page state in text that vouchers are valid until February 28, 2027. They can be used only at the shop where the pack is bought or collected, not in the online shop. Eligible purchases include glasses, sunglasses, smart glasses and paid lens replacement; hearing aids, contact lenses and supplies are excluded. Only one voucher can be used per transaction, with no change for spending below its face value, no cash exchange and restrictions on combining discounts or coupons.
Payment, cancellation and tax-free-shopping exclusions also appear in the official terms and should be checked in full. Online applications can be cancelled through the member page during the application period, but not after it closes. Confirm voucher dates against the current campaign rules and the collection shop’s instructions. If you like Shaun but have no suitable collection and redemption itinerary, saving the information is more practical than arranging unnecessary spending for a character extra.
