New Balance’s Taipei 10K recap: pacers, WeiBird’s performance and Pandora rewards by entry group

Taking part in a ten-kilometre race is not only about chasing a finishing time. The 2026 New Balance 10K City Run took place at Taipei’s Dajia Riverside Park on November 1, with nearly 7,000 participants according to the organiser. Its Run Your Way programme brought together pacing, interactive challenges, shoe trials and music. This is a recap of an event that has ended, not a new registration or gift-collection announcement. The attendance figure is the organiser’s, rather than an independent count by this publication.

For women looking for a running community, one useful aspect is how different rhythms can fit into one event, and what participants can share after finishing. Creators running alongside entrants and an on-site performance offered social points of connection, without implying that everyone had the same goal. Photographs record the actual event; they do not establish anyone’s finishing time, fitness or level of training.

Pacing teams and challenges served different purposes

In the race’s second edition, Peeta, Ian of The DoDo Men and HowHow acted as challenge leaders. Entrants who reached the finish ahead of them could receive a small gift. That was an in-race condition, rather than an entitlement for everyone who attended. No leader’s finishing time, exact gift or unannounced later collection arrangement should be inferred.

The NB Pacer team brought another form of participation, led by creators including 黑龍, 金魚腦, 里唯, 唄姬 and 小艾 of E人健身. 霸軒 and 品子 also joined the race. Running with a pacing team is distinct from competing for a placing. It illustrates a choice of ways to participate, rather than making any creator’s pace a suitable speed for everyone.

Shoe trials and music beyond the finish

FuelCell Rebel v5 and Ellipse v1 were available for trial runs at the event. Completing a shoe trial and the specified social check-in task also offered a chance to obtain the limited N Bao mascot. These were arrangements for that day’s venue. They do not establish a gift available at any store now, nor a performance finding from this publication’s own wear test. An event photograph cannot determine whether a shoe suits an individual.

WeiBird performed wearing New Balance 1080v15 shoes, brand apparel and Pandora jewellery, extending the post-race programme into music. He spoke about wanting to build up from shorter distances towards his first 10K. His appearance therefore should not be described as having completed this ten-kilometre race. His clothing and personal impressions are also distinct from measured results for runners generally.

Separate entry-group gifts from draws and shopping credit

Finisher items included a branded reusable bag, limited sports towel and medal. The Pandora collaboration distinguished entry groups: finishers in the Platinum Special Package and Pandora BE LOVE Couple groups could receive a Talisman medallion charm. Finishers in other groups had a chance to win one in a draw, rather than an automatic gift. A wish wall and activities linked to finishing in a full NB outfit also connected participants with limited WOKY cups and a Nagoya running-trip draw, without guaranteeing either to everyone.

The top five in the men’s and women’s categories could receive brand shopping credit and trophies. Each category’s winner was awarded NT$10,000 in shopping credit. Credit is not cash prize money, and a draw entry is not a confirmed travel place. Separating groups, tasks and reward types explains how the race combined competition with a festival atmosphere without turning a recap into an expired promotional promise.
