WANDRD PRVKE Pocket arrives in Japan on October 30: zip-top access and a choice of 21L or 31L

WANDRD’s PRVKE Pocket camera backpack is scheduled to launch in Japan on October 30 in black 21L and 31L photography bundles. This branch of the series replaces the familiar roll-top with a zip-top opening and adds a large front pocket, giving frequently used camera gear and daily essentials different access points.

Japanese tax-inclusive prices are JPY58,300 for 21L and JPY62,700 for 31L. Both include a camera cube and accessory straps. These are Japanese market prices and launch details; buyers elsewhere should check local availability, postage and delivery rather than treat a yen figure as a Taiwanese retail price.

A different top opening changes the packing routine

The zip top provides access from above, while a side panel offers another route to the camera. Divided upper and lower compartments can separate everyday items from the camera cube. The cube can be removed and the partition adjusted, adapting the backpack between photography days and other outings. The useful question becomes which items you reach for most often.

The large front pocket includes organisation for batteries, cables and small essentials. A widely opening back panel and light-grey lining help reveal where items are packed. Compare the top, side and rear openings against your usual sequence of reaching for a camera or laptop, including when you would set the bag down or turn it around, rather than simply counting pockets.

The size difference is more than ten litres

The 21L measures 41cm high, 28cm wide and 14.5cm deep; the 31L measures 44.5 by 30 by 20cm. Front pockets measure 31 by 26 by 5cm and 32 by 29 by 5cm respectively. Depth and usable space provide more specific comparisons than the capacity names alone, particularly when moving through narrow train aisles.

Both have laptop and tablet sleeves, but the laptop compartments differ: 34.3 by 24.8 by 2.5cm for 21L, and 34.3 by 26.7 by 2.5cm for 31L. Even where product descriptions mention up to 16 inches, compare your computer’s actual dimensions, including its case. Equal screen diagonals do not establish equal chassis sizes.

Separate the included bundle from optional protection

The 31L bundle includes an Essential Plus Camera Cube, while the 21L includes an Essential Camera Cube; both have Accessory Straps. Dividers can be adjusted to equipment and the cube secured inside with hook-and-loop fastening. Alternative Pro-series cubes are sold separately and must match the backpack size.

The exterior uses P900D tarpaulin and N840D ballistic nylon with YKK zips, and the product description specifies water repellency. An additional rain cover is sold separately. Water repellency does not mean immersion protection for electronic equipment. List your camera, lenses, computer and bottle, then compare capacity, cube and external dimensions rather than automatically choosing the largest bag.
