NEEDLES × BEAMS BOY launches in Japan November 12: sculpted trousers and curved sleeves
Velour H.D. track trousers cost ¥31,900 and the new Hiji-deru crewneck costs ¥23,100 including Japanese tax. Fabric, colours and reservation timing differ.
NEEDLES and BEAMS BOY will release their new collaboration in Japan on November 12, 2026. The womenswear offering pairs H.D. track trousers with a Hiji-deru crewneck designed for BEAMS BOY. BEAMS introduced reservations on October 28; the October 29 product report lists the release date. These are separate stages, so the later report should not be described as the collection’s first appearance.
Shape distinguishes the two pieces. The trousers create volume around the knees, while the top moves that dimensional idea to the elbows and sleeves. Both use trackwear lines and butterfly embroidery, but they are not a matching set made from one fabric in identical colours. Check material, colour and measurements separately before choosing.
H.D. trousers concentrate volume at the knees
Based on NEEDLES’ H.D. Pants, the trousers use the distinctive silhouette nicknamed “Hiza-deru”, referring to projecting knees. Rather than widening evenly from waist to hem, the cut emphasises space around the knee. Side stripes draw the eye down the legs, giving direction to the generous shape.
Velour adds sheen to those sportswear lines. The trousers cost ¥31,900 including Japanese tax and come in black, brown and navy, in a Free size. Free is the size designation, not a promise of a universal fit. Compare the listed measurements before ordering; descriptions of the fabric are not a substitute for a personal fitting.

The Hiji-deru top carries the idea into curved sleeves
The crewneck translates the H.D. trouser shape into a sleeve design created for BEAMS BOY, leaving room around the elbows and along the sleeves. “Hiji” means elbow, connecting its name to the knee-focused trousers. The design change concerns where the volume sits, rather than simply adding a butterfly to another basic sweatshirt.

The top uses polyester smooth fabric, unlike the velour trousers. It costs ¥23,100 including Japanese tax and comes in light grey, charcoal grey and olive, also in Free size. Ivy League school colours inspired the palette. That inspiration should not be read as a claim that the garments are licensed uniforms for a particular university.
Reservations, release and purchasing region are different details
BEAMS’ October 28 introduction mentioned reservations, while November 12 is the announced release date. There is no contradiction: an active reservation page does not establish that every store already holds stock or that every colour and quantity will be available immediately on release day. Consult the individual product page and chosen store for current arrangements.
Announced stockists are Japanese stores carrying BEAMS BOY, with some exclusions, and the official BEAMS online shop. This does not establish a simultaneous Taiwan launch, Taiwan-dollar prices or an international delivery promise. Choose the top or trousers against your existing wardrobe and compare their different fabrics and shapes; the collaboration name does not require buying both.
