RED WING × BEAMS brings back semicircle dog tags for BEAMS’ 50th anniversary
The 10-style collection includes two six-inch round-toe boots, workwear-inspired clothing and accessories. Each boot costs ¥58,850 in Japan; BEAMS sales start October 30, with RED WING stores following November 6.
For its 50th anniversary, BEAMS and RED WING are extending their collaboration beyond footwear. Sales begin through designated Japanese BEAMS retailers and its official online shop on October 30. The collection comprises 10 styles in total, including two six-inch round-toe boots, clothing and everyday accessories—not 10 clothing and accessory styles plus two boots.
The boots revive the green semicircle dog tag associated with the mid-1990s, pairing it with red-brown Oro-Russet leather or sand-beige Hawthorne ‘Abilene’ Roughout. Each costs ¥58,850 including Japanese tax. RED WING store sales are scheduled for November 6, so the retailer matters when planning a visit.
Two round-toe boots, two distinct leather finishes
The #9872 combines a classic six-inch round toe with Oro-Russet leather and a green semicircle dog tag on the tongue. The tag recalls Irish Setter models from around 1995–1997. This is a newly manufactured revival of period details, rather than unworn stock from the 1990s.
The #9882 uses sand-beige Hawthorne ‘Abilene’ Roughout with the same green tag. Both share the six-inch round-toe direction, but their surfaces and colours differ clearly. Official sizes run from 7 to 11, including several half sizes. Actual fit should be checked rather than assumed from another shoe by the brand.

Shoelace details connect boots and clothing
Braided trims resembling shoelaces run through the clothing. The Cap Shoulder Blouson draws on 1960s work jackets, combining a wide fit, military-style Oxford fabric, padding and gourd-pattern quilting. The black jacket costs ¥52,800 including Japanese tax; its workwear reference does not mean it is made from boot leather.
The crew-neck sweatshirt’s chest and back WING graphics use layered puff printing to suggest the dimensional appearance of vintage souvenir-jacket embroidery. They are not simply the same embroidery technique. Short-sleeved T-shirts offer WING and SHOES designs, the latter featuring the two special-edition boots, with shoelace-like details linking the pieces.

Accessories and the two retail launch dates
Accessories include a cap, bandanas, a rubber key holder and a mug. Official Japanese tax-inclusive prices include ¥2,530 for a bandana, ¥1,980 for the red rubber key holder and ¥2,970 for the red mug. Logos, colour and boot references carry the collaboration into smaller everyday objects.
October 30 applies to participating BEAMS-label shops and its official online store; RED WING shops follow on November 6. These are separate retail schedules. Japanese prices do not cover cross-border shipping or other purchasing costs, and this article does not establish Taiwan availability, store allocations or restock plans.
